Introduction
Communities and Local Government produces a quarterly Statistical Release (SR) showing the number of new build housing starts and completions for the latest available quarter in Great Britain and England and its Regions. The text compares the latest seasonally adjusted quarterly figures with the previous quarter and with corresponding figures from the previous year.
The dwelling starts and completions data, by tenure, for the latest available quarter and similar information for recent quarters and years are provided as tables. Figures for the UK and constituent countries are also available in the accompanying tables.
The combined Statistical Release and accompanying data can be obtained by selecting the appropriate quarter in the list of published releases below. Other available data relating to housebuilding can be found in the Live tables on house building section.
