Qualifications for Home Inspectors are offered by two awarding bodies - the Awarding Body for the Built Environment (ABBE) www.abbeqa.co.uk (external link) and City and Guilds www.cityandguilds.com (external link). City and Guilds provide an online search so that you can find your nearest centre. Contact the awarding bodies directly for details of assessment centres and training providers they have approved.

Training costs

There are no specific grants for becoming a Home Inspector. However, the DFES and DirectGov websites provide details about career development loans which could be applied when becoming a Home Inspector. Please visit:
