PFI Practitioners' Workshops

Introduction to Practitioners' Workshops

In April 2004 Cap Gemini published a review of the Fire and Rescue Service PFI programme. This report made number of recommendations.

One of the recommendations was that ODPM (now Communities and Local Government) set up and run a regular series of Practitioners' Workshops for project managers and others involved in Fire and Rescue Service PFI projects in order that they are able to share experiences and good practice.

The first workshop took place on 29 July 2004 and Communities and Local Government have subsequently held five more since that date.

The key benefit of these Workshops has been the dissemination of ideas and sharing of experience and good practice between those Authorities involved in current projects, but also for others who are interested in bidding for PFI credits in the future.

If you are interested in attending one of these workshops please contact Kate Hepher at Kate.Hepher@communities.gsi.gov.uk or by telephoning 0207 944 8895.
