Select Committee report on the Fire and Rescue Service 2006
Communities and Local Government Select Committee Report on the Fire and Rescue Service was published in July 2006. It reflected the progress made since the White Paper Our Fire and Rescue Service (White Paper) 2003 was published in 2003. This progress has been made in partnership with the Chief Fire Officers' Association, Local Government Association and others and we will continue to work closely with them to deliver the improvement agenda.
Our response accepts many of the recommendations made by the Committee, and sets out how we will build upon work already successfully undertaken to help the Service improve further. The full text of our response can be found on The Stationary Office website. (See link on the right).
