Cutover timetable
The date when each Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) and Regional Control Centre (RCC) will be moved onto the new system is called 'cutover'. The cutover timetable (below) outlines when each FRS and each RCC will cutover.
Cutover will only take place once all stations within an FRS have new equipment in place that has been extensively tested. It will be remotely controlled on an agreed date but a fall back to the original FRS operation will be possible if necessary.
This will happen gradually with groups of FRSs moving from local to regional controls in batches. This will make it easier to identify, isolate and address any problems that arise without affecting the quality of service provided to the public.
As each FRS and RCC cuts over, an Operational Assurance Test will be carried out to make sure that the technical solution has been installed and configured properly and integrates and interfaces properly with other systems.
