How FiReControl will work

The FiReControl project will deliver a national network for the provision of control services in England, comprising of 9 Regional Control Centres (RCCs).

The RCCs will operate to the key principles set out below:

  • accountability for service delivery remains with the fire and rescue services working within Integrated Risk Management Plans for each authority
  • mobilisation of the nearest available appropriate resource
  • mobilisation using live information.

The FiReControl concept of operations explains how the network will operate, and how the supporting systems and organisation have been designed.
