New Horizons programme

The New Horizons programme assists the Department's horizon-scanning capabilities by seeking proposals from outside researchers to explore issues beyond the scope of our main research programmes. It encourages new and innovative approaches to issues and research, and probes the margins between orthodox and unconventional research methods. In addition, the programme aims to look forward with a view to identifying potential new challenges facing the Department over the next decade.
