Interchange - our employee exchange programme
When employees have the opportunity to get first-hand experience of a different work environment they learn new skills and new ways of dealing with problems. Their workplace can benefit too: employee exchanges promote understanding between different organisations and the issues and challenges they face.
'Interchange' is the name of the Government's employee exchange programme. Staff taking part in the programme can move between the Civil Service and other public and private sector organisations for periods from a few weeks to up to five years.
