Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
Those who have played a distinguished role in any field in their region or county and whose achievements are recognised nationally can be considered for an OBE. These could include:
- leaders of regional voluntary initiatives
- local practitioners in their field who have national standing
- leaders or chief executives of local authorities
- senior officers in the largest local authorities
- chief executives or managing directors of medium sized companies.
