Knight or Dame Comander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE/DBE)
This award is made for an outstanding and long-term contribution in a significant capacity, usually at a national level. This could include being behind local initiatives which had been adopted nationally. Typical people who receive these awards are chairs or chief executives of the largest and most significant companies, or are leading players in national working groups or industry bodies.
