Housing Market Renewal Pathfinders
Housing Market Renewal Pathfinders (HMRPs) develop strategic plans to improve housing markets in areas of low demand. Sustainable and stable housing markets rely on measures to make communities safer and stronger alongside physical regeneration.
HMRPs' funding agreements now include a commitment that they will support the respect drive. A protocol has been agreed on how this will be done.
The six key themes of the respect protocol are:
- Smart intelligence on anti-social behaviour (ASB) to inform actions
- Robust action to tackle ASB and its causes
- Simple and effective communications with the community
- Reassuring the community through a visible uniformed presence and other confidence building initiatives
- Designing high quality, safe neighbourhoods which support public life and community interaction
- Multi-agency approaches at strategic and neighbourhood levels
