The Home Office's race equality grant scheme, Connecting Communities, launched in May 2000, was part of an initiative to demonstrate a strong public commitment to effect real lasting change on race equality. Four programme areas were funded, which were shaped through consultation with minority ethnic communities and community groups and through the Home Secretary's response to the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry Report.
This document contains the responses to the consultation.
