Summary

This guide intends to provide local authorities, developers and other bodies involved in carrying out assessments of housing land availability with a simple process and advice on the issues that need to be considered. Its present status is that of a working draft document which is likely to be subject to further change.

This document should be read in conjunction with the Consultation Paper on a New Planning Policy Statement 3 (PPS3): Housing.
