Summary

This consultation seeks your comments on a proposal to amend the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999 ('EIA Regulations 1999') in relation to England. The proposed amendments would put beyond doubt the application of the provisions of the EIA Regulations 1999 and of the EIA Directive to applications for the review of old minerals permissions submitted before 15 November 2000 but not yet determined. They would provide for the sanction of suspension of operations to apply to sites which are the subject of such applications which remain undetermined.
