Summary

The Local and Regional Government Programme provides research support for policy development, delivery and evaluation on all major elements of local government and regional governance such as service delivery and improvement, patterns of governance, local and community leadership, citizen participation and democratic renewal, finance, regional governance and cross-cutting issues.

This edition of the Newsletter provides details of new projects to be commissioned in 2002/03 and updates on current projects and recent research findings.
