Summary

In July 2004, ODPM issued a consultation paper setting out proposals for changes to the Best Value Performance Indicators (BVPIs) which would apply to best value authorities in 2005/06. Consultation took place between 6 July and 31 August 2004.

Over 500 responses were received from best value authorities, representative bodies and members of the public. This document summarises those responses and explains why it has been decided whether or not to introduce each of the proposed measures.
