This is an independent paper by PA Consulting, commissioned by Communities and Local Government which reports the findings of a stakeholder research project to help scope any subsequent contract for a National Coordinating Body for Home Improvement Agencies (HIAs).
PA Consulting conducted a survey of HIA managers, interviews and focus group discussions with HIAs, Local Authority Supporting People commissioners and other key stakeholders in the sector. The report is supportive of the continuing provision, identifies HIAs' priorities and broadly endorses the current specification of requirements.
The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of Communities and Local Government.
