Summary

House prices have risen substantially during the past few years and the purpose of this note is to look at what's been happening between the last property boom in the late 80s and this one. It also looks in more detail at some specific aspects of the market, such as whether first-time buyers are finding it difficult to get onto the property ladder and how earnings have changed relative to house prices.
