Summary
The Survey of English Housing is a continuous ODPM household survey, carried out for the Department by the National Centre for Social Research, which provides important housing data on owner occupation and the social and private rented sectors. This preview presents some of the key findings from the first six months of the 2001-02 survey; during this period interviews were achieved in over 10,000 households. Results for the whole of 2001-02 will be published in the autumn. References in the commentary to '2001' refer to April - September 2001, the months on which this summary is based.
