The Sustainable Communities Plan introduced new arrangements for allocation for mainstream funding to support housing investment by local authorities and housing associations. Under the new arrangements allocations are increasingly being directed to address strategic regional priorities based on advice from Regional Housing Boards.
This paper set out, and sought views, on proposals how the total funds agreed in the 2004 Spending Review (£2.6 and £2.9 billion respectively) should be divided between regions.
The Technical Note provides the detailed technical material referred to in Para 4.2 of the consultation paper.
The Summary of Responses summarises the 110 responses received.
