Summary

This is the summary of a literature review of published research and guidance
on housing and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities in England. This review was carried out Dr Malcolm Harrison, in collaboration with Dr Deborah Phillips, both of whom are based at Leeds University. "Housing and Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities: review of the evidence base" is published by ODPM, see panel at the end for details of how to obtain the report. The full report includes an exhaustive list of references, which it is not practical to include in this summary. Readers who wish to study particular topics in depth should consult the full report.
