Welcome to the sixth edition of the CBL Newsletter.

The ODPM (now Communities and Local Government) funded pilot scheme came to an end in March this year. However, we are pleased to say that all the schemes which took part in the pilot are continuing to operate. We wish them every success for the future.

This issue gives an update on the Monitoring and Evaluation research and focuses on issues and problems encountered by the pilot schemes after they went live. It also looks at some of the key messages which have come out of the research on applicants' perspectives which was undertaken for ODPM by BMRB. The findings from this exercise will feed into the final Monitoring and Evaluation research.
