On 21 March 2005 the Deputy Prime Minister confirmed that the Planning Delivery Grant 2005-06 would total £170m, most of which would be distributed directly to authorities. The spreadsheet below provides a detailed breakdown of how that grant is to be distributed among local authorities in England who can be paid under Section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003. It also includes provisional figures for National Parks, the Broads Authority and Regional Planning Bodies, who cannot be paid under Section 31. It is proposed to pay these bodies later in 2005 the amounts listed here by other appropriate powers.
