Take-Up Campaign - Phase 3 (June 2007)
Communities and Local Government are launching the next phase of the Connect to your Council Campaign in June 2007. The next phase of the campaign seeks to promote online planning within the wider campaign, alongside the existing roster of services. This phase also seeks to embed the campaign at a local level and interfaces closely with initiatives available through the Department's Business Improvement Package.

For further information on the next phase of campaign activity, please see the Take-Up Campaign Media Plan: Autumn 2006 for Summer/Autumn 2007.

Review of the Take-Up Campaign: May - July 2006
New market research into the impact to date of the Take-Up Campaign highlights a significant increase in both public awareness of online services and in the numbers of people contacting the council via the internet as opposed to by telephone or post. The research, which was carried out by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) on behalf of Communities and Local Government, forms part of the evidence included in the recent Central Office of Information (COI) evaluation study of the campaign.

For further information on the research, and to view the COI evaluation study, please see A review of Communities and Local Government Take-up Campaign: Burst 1, May-July 06

Take-Up Campaign - Phase 2 (4 September - 22 October 2006)
The second phase of the campaign sees the repeat of the majority of the existing advertisements used in phase 1, with the addition of school admissions as one of the promoted services. Advertisements will be run in national press, radio and online. Advertorials will also be used again to promote the message around school admissions and the benefits associated with the use of online facilities. For further information of the services to be advertised in phase 2, and to view the proposed media schedule, please see the Take-Up Campaign Media Plan: Autumn 2006.
