A Framework for Fairness: consultation events

Updated: To include an event specifically on public sector duties on the 23 July.

We are holding five general awareness-raising events on the consultation A Framework for Fairness: Proposals for a Single Equality Bill for Great Britain arising from the Discrimination Law Review.

These events will be held in:

• London on the 25 June between 12.45 and 15.15 at Church House Conference Centre, Westminster, London, SW1P 3NZ;
• Cardiff on the 3 July between 13.30 and 16.00 at St David's Hotel and Spa, Havannah Street, Cardiff, CF10 5SD;
• Manchester on the 4 July between 10.30 and 13.00 at The Midland Hotel, Peter Street, Manchester, M60 2DS; and
• Edinburgh on the 9 July between 10.30 and 13.00 at The George Hotel, 19-21 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2PB
• Bristol on the 19 July between 10.30 and 13.00 at the Jurys Bristol Hotel, Prince Street, Bristol, BS1 4QF

These events are designed to present a general overview of the issues raised in the consultation document and to encourage stakeholders to respond.

In addition to these general awareness-raising events, we are holding two further events designed to look in detail at specific issues:

Public sector duties event

We are holding a specific awareness-raising event on the public sector duties proposals contained within the consultation A Framework for Fairness: Proposals for a Single Equality Bill for Great Britain.

This event will be held in London on the 23 July between 10.30 and 12.30 at Church House Conference Centre, Westminster, London, SW1.

This event is designed to present an overview of the proposals on public sector duties set out in the Framework for Fairness consultation document and to encourage stakeholders to give us their views on these proposals.

We are holding an event that is specifically designed for business.

This event will be held in London on 24 July between 13.30 and 16.00 at the Royal National Hotel (Tudor Suite), Bedford Way, London WC1.

These events are open public consultation events so anyone can attend. However, we request that people register to attend these events by emailing anna.barton@communities.gsi.gov.uk. or by calling 0207 944 0629. There is limited space at all of these events so places will be available on a first come first served basis.
